IMA Rejects Low Rates Under Modicare

IMA Rejects Low Rates Under Modicare Corruption Will Expose Patients To Danger Dr Ravi Wankhedkar President of Indian Medical Association said that the scheme 'Modicare', will lead to compromised quality of services. Treatments and surgeries will be provided at 15-20% cheaper rates under this initiative. He said the scheme will breed corruption as it will expose patients to danger. Even at a marginal profit of 15%, crores of rupees would unnecessarily end up going to the third party. The healthcare delivery system should be kept intact, and also prevented from collapsing. For this all the stakeholders need to be taken into confidence.
